Breathe deeply
The semester is winding down with only another 2 weeks of classes left before the study week for the exam begins. The life of a student during this time period is actually quite similar to the one of a lecturer. Below are some examples where I highlight (blue) what students do vs what lecturers do (red).Not sleeping for days trying to finish assignments. Not sleeping for days trying to mark assignments.
Unusual eating patterns due to unusual work habits. Even more unusual patterns due to marking unusual answers provided by students.
Prada bags displayed below the eyes of students. Gucci bags displayed below the eyes of lecturers.
Students asking for extensions last minute. Lecturers asking the students to go away last minute.
Students working late. Lecturers waking up early AND working later. :P
Parents complaining why they "can't see" their kids. Spouses complaining why they "can't see" their husbands/wifes.
Students busy prioritizing what they should do today. Lecturers busy prioritizing what they SHOULDN'T do now because there's so much more to do.
There you see? Our lives are actually quite similar!

haha... is that an excuses for telling the students that we shouldn't complain anything about the lecturer?? haha... ^^
