Due to the massive earthquake in Taiwan, the internet connection at work has been less than ideal. I couldn't log on and surf any sites yesterday and for awhile I felt frustrated. I couldn't scan the news like I normally do, couldn't play online games, couldn't chat and couldn't kaypo!Disconnected from the world.
But that feeling of frustation lasted only 1 minute as I began to relish the fact of being disconnected.
I visited a company earlier in the morning and the director was lamenting how we've all become slaves to the Internet and e-mail. She was facing a lot of difficulties with her clients. The company fax has never been more popular! I was trying my hardest to imagine what it was like before the Internet came along. How did companies and people communicate? Seems like another world away.....
Personally I'm kinda enjoy being dc-ed. Right this moment I feel like chucking my mobile phone away for a couple of days. Hmmm....
