Jobs

Last week our school held a big job fair for the students (maybe even lecturers?) and the turnout was very strong. As expected there was a good variety of companies eager to court future employees and several of the local universities were also present.

As expected there were those that were simply present because of the freebies (you know who you are!). Some had no clue what was going on. The rest of the students were there for a reason and they were genuinely interested in the offerings. Many had even made the effort to dress up for the occasion!

One of the things that caught my eye was the large amount of interested and buzz generated by Singapore Airlines. Being a local "giant", it naturally attracted a lot of attention from the students.

They were there to recruit for Air Stewards/Stewardess. No doubt they would have left happy (record number of ladies and some guys queueing to join them). At one point in my career, I had contemplated joining them as well. Yes, me! That was when I was younger, definitely slimmer. I figured I could be their "Singapore Boy". But as you can see from the poster below, it didn't quite work that way!



Ah well.... :)

oh btw,why did u choose the word inconspicuously? i can't rmb the meaning and always need to try quite a few times b4 i get the spelling right and actually leave a comment. decide to bookmark this site. ha

I choose inconspicuously because the meaning is quite apt for what I intended to do with this blog. Keeping it low profile. :)

oh man, the picture that u put up really made me burst out the moment i see it! its so super funny, haha.
and i spent some time looking and examining it, dunno for what also, haha. Its jus the first time i see people doing this kind of thing...
