Power!
Last friday we had a staff gathering (aptly titled Funkytown). It's always a surprise to students when they see lecturers getting together and partying. Students who walked past RITS were amazed when they saw us inside having fun. Well, you know we're humans too right? :)Anyway after Funkytown, a few of us decided to check out St James Power Station. The night was still young so we decided to extend our fun a bit. This new party/dance/F&B area just opened to much fanfare and I must admit it was quite impressive. The crowd was mixed, not too many people there so you can still breathe and the venues played a decent variety of music. I bumped into a couple of students and as expected, they were shocked. I had to "educate" them that we weren't that old and we also liked to party sometimes. :)
Normally when I go to such places it usually makes me feel old. I used to go dancing here and there when I was younger because I love dance music. I still love dance music. On this ocassion, however, I didn't feel the age thing at all. Perhaps it was because I had good company? Perhaps it was because the crowd wasn't really that young? Perhaps it was because I simply didn't care? Whatever the case is, everybody had fun. I had fun. I feel like dancing again.....

Dear annoyed student,
Firstly, I sincerely thank you for your posting. :)
Secondly, I am not sure how to start to reply your ultra long detailed post. *rubs chin*
Thirdly, if you're afraid to reveal your ID, email me so we can chat about your strong feelings about the classes. I think I know who you are but I'm not 100% sure. :)
Fourthly, not only rich people shop at Isetan. Did you see me buy anything? Maybe I couldn't afford a bottle of water elsewhere and had to resort to a supermarket for water? :P
Lastly, CPF is good for you. Yes it's painful now because the amount seems like a lot. However, when you're parent's age, you'll be thanking CPF. :)
No need to stress after SIP (hint) ok?
Regards,
Patient teacher
I don't want to embarrass myself in front of the expert.
