A New Start

Well here comes another semester. Today marks the beginning of another semester and this time around, I'm teaching more hours than ever before. Our latest intake has netted about 100 students (our largest intake so far!). That means there will be extra classes. The latest batch has students coming from many countries besides our traditional ones, for example Chile, Korea and also Nepal. Yes, the school is growing and we have students from about 15 countries alrady.

I'm still teaching Business Computing Skills and Lodging Systems & Operations. These 2 subjects have sort of become my forte and because there's really no one in our department that can take these subjects, I become the default choice. Taking these subjects on several occasions have allowed me to really get to know the subject and approaches better. I have been able to make some recommendations so that it's more inline with effective student learning and hopefully this will translate to students understanding more about these subjects. Unfortunately I won't be having any free days but that's ok.

I've also been tasked to design a new logo for our restaurant on our campus and also a couple of designs for our stand up banners. Yes, lots of work! :) Hope to share some of my ideas with you guys soon.
