Gong Xi Fa Cai
Well I was waiting for a friend to show up last night @ Holland V. I was a bit early and he was late so I had about 45 mins to spare. Some people in my position would go around looking at shops or looking at people. I went Grocery shopping! The humble supermarket is actually a very interesting place. So many types of people jostling, choosing, and lining up that it can make a very interesting area to study human behaviour.
Anyway, I went in and I am always surprised by the variety of stuff they carry. All sorts of sauces beyond tomato and chilli, fatty foods and other ways to stuff you up with artificial ingredients. There were so many people of all shapes, sizes and colour doing some last minute shopping. I swear I could hear the counter going Kaching! Kaching! Wanna buy Bak Kwa? Forget it!
It's great we get several days off, I am exhausted and I am sure many of you are as well. During this festive season, remember to be safe and I hope you get lots of Ang Pow. Eat and be merry! Gong Xi Fa Cai! Nien Nien You Yu!
