Christmas
As Christmas draws closer, I have been thinking what I could get as a present for myself. It' s a close tie between a Hamilton watch and an Apple Ipod Nano. I have been eyeing a watch for quite a while. Also, it's hard to resist the Nano, the way it looks. Getting myself a present is not something that I practice often annually. If the year was good/okay, then perhaps I will. If the year was not so good, the last thing I wanted would be to get a present!As I pondered on these 2 items, I began to realize I didn't need these items. I could live without them! I already have 3 watches and a MP3 player which has served me very well. Why should I go and waste money to buy items that I already have?!?!!
Then it hit me. It must be my age! I never used to think like this. Before I would just buy it without much thought. As I walked away from Funan today, I kinda felt sad but overwhelmingly happy. Strange. Kinda re-freshing though.
I admit, I did end up buying something. I bought an external hard disk (40GB) which I needed. Hahah...at least I don't feel TOO bad. :)

if u differentiate too clearly between needs and wants, then life's not fun anymore.
cuz actually besides food, air (no need to buy!), water, shelter and some basic necessities, you don't have to buy anything AT ALL, cuz they are all wants...!
and since lecturers earn so much... keeping your astronomical amount hard earned money in the bank... for what!!
plus, our economy wont prosper anymore!!! where is the multiplier effect???
well, thats how girls think lah.. thats why we love shopping.. HAHA!
and.. xmas is the season of giving (including urself..).. right?

you wont want to know e countless complaints and returns apple has got for nano.
its probably just another appeal for e eyes yeah. ipod video may have a better gurantee over quality, i guess.
anyway, e harddisk sounds good too, it alwys come in handy for transferring datas.

Gayna : Hahah..thanks for the input. I know how girls (and ladies) are like! But I think a lot depends on your stage in life. If I were your age, yes I would buy! :)
Also, lecturers do not earn as much as you think. Remember, we also have bills to pay! :P

Amber : Yep, I heard about it and that's one of the main reason why I didn't buy. :) I'll just wait for something better.
