A-U-S-S-I-E! Oi! Oi! Oi!
Once in awhile, something happens that takes your breath away. Something happens that makes your chest pound with much excitement and pride.Today, this evening. The Socceroos (Australian soccer team) qualified for next year's World Cup. Now, I normally don't follow soccer. However, this is an exception. I've waited 8 years and Australia has waited 32 years. I've experienced heartache twice and finally, they've overcome! They finally beat Uruguay and have qualified for the big show. Couldn't believe it. Like the Aussies say, I'm rapt! Hahaha....
If it was Friday, I'd be out and about shouting "Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!".
Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi!

aussies r gd bcos of their manager guus hiddink! b4 tat they were a bunch of individuals & they stil r. they were lucky 2 make it to the world cup though. but i hate them 4 fightin over places wif asian teams! i hope they go back 2 oceania where they belong!

Hmm...okay, I don't mean to be rude but I'd like to address a couple of pointers.
1. Lucky? I don't think so. Do you have any idea the road that they had to take to get to play Uruguay? If you're talking about lucky during the penalties, watch the video again and notice the 2 saves by the goalkeeper. And they wouldn't be the first team ever to qualify by winning penalties.
2. Hate them for fighting with asian teams? May I ask why? The general consensus is that it's better for the Asean region because as a region, Asean can then go to FIFA and ask for 1 more team to go into the World cup. I may be wrong on this.
Of course some countries will complain saying why like that. I think the real reason is fear. I wonder if the top Asian teams like Korea or Saudi Arabia, would they complain? I think most of the countries that complain the loudest are probably those that probably can't make it anyway. So what's the difference?
