RE : Mid-way
Well it's already the mid of the first part of the semester. Time just seems to fly so quickly.I believe most of you would have started to send your resume to companies and I've even heard that some have already been offered positions. Congratulations to those who have been offered. For the rest don't worry about it. Chances are, you did not get what you really wanted but don't be afraid to try other organizations. I'm sure you may be pleasantly surprised. I remember a few years back I wanted a position with a company in Singapore. They called me up for an interview and I was the first. After the interview, I felt I did pretty well. The manager even told me that I did a great job and will be "considered further". But guess what? They chose someone else. I was crushed! Here I was so prepared for this job (even on the brink of quitting the job I held during that time period) and suddenly....
The truth is that there are so many other external factors that is beyond your control. You go in, do your best and move on. Interviewers can be very picky (especially if there are many applicants). Move on, keep applying and you'll get there.
On a separate note, we had a Dodge-ball competition previous week at school. Yes, at the Parade Square. There were 12 teams and the atmosphere was very fun and vibrant. We should have something like this last semester. :) Unfortunately my team (together with Ms Daga) were whacked during the preliminary rounds. Ah well...must give chance right? ;)
